CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro-Tem Brenda Thompson called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Tim Smith and Brandy Owens were present as were members of the public. Mayor Bruce Altznauer and council member Tony Sells were absent.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Brenda Thompson called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Tim Smith made motion to accept the minutes of the July 26, 2018 Public Hearing held at 6:30 as submitted. Brandy Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brandy Owens made motion to accept the minutes of the Public Hearing held at 7:00 PM. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
BUSINESS LICENSE APPROVALS
Brenda Thompson stated two business license applications have been submitted for approval. She said John Brandon Cole submitted an application for Cole Contracting Services LLC, dba Integrity Built Homes located at 145 Newborn Road. The second license to be approved is Jennifer Buzbee for Sweet Tea Spray Tan at 214 West Main Street but will be a mobile business.
Tim Smith made motion to approve the license for Cole Contracting Services LLC. Brandie Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brandie Owens made motion to approve the business license for Sweet Tea Spray Tan. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF GEORGIA – CLEARANCE RATE EXCELLENCE AWARD
Debbie Kilgore advised the council that Rutledge Municipal Court had received this award for a clearance rate of 100 percent meaning that our court has kept up with its caseload. The award is for 2017. This award is due to all the hard work of Ouida Autry.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – REAL ESTATE
Tim Smith made motion to enter executive session. Brandie Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brandie Owens made motion to exit executive session. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Tim Smith made motion to adjourn. Brandie Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
