CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Anthony Sells, Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present as were members of the public.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Knight called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Tony Sells made motion to approve the minutes of the May 16th meeting as submitted. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

PROCLAMATION PRESENTATION

To be done at the July regular council meeting.

APPROVAL OF SOUTHEAST CORRECTIONS CONTRACT

Tim Smith made motion to approve the Southeast Corrections Probation Contract. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

BUDGET DISCUSSION

City Clerk Debbie Kilgore went over the General fund, water/sewer fund and splost budget line items and answered questions from the council. Bruce Altznauer commented that the City was operating on less money than last year and thanked the clerk for doing a good job.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Mayor Knight called for public comment from the citizens. Molly Lesnikowski thanked the council for fixing the water fountain. Debbie Kilgore told her that the fountain needed to be

drained each year so not to freeze and the screen needs to be cleaned every so often. She said the last event would be the Holiday Market and lasts from November 30th thru December 1st and would need to be drained after that. Ed Hogan said the recreation department would be having the water slide event in July at the downtown park from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. He said the slide rental was $290.00 and would be paid for by recreation. Mayor Knight asked if there were any more questions. There were none.

ADOPT BUDGET

Brenda Thompson made motion to adopt the General, Water/Sewer and Splost fund budgets. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

FILM POLICY APPROVAL

Mayor Knight stated that the film policy was sent back to the attorney with the changes they discussed. The City attorney made all the changes that we requested. He said if a movie crew comes to Rutledge they have to follow our rules. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the film policy as written. Tony Sells seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.

Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn at 7:33 PM. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
