CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Tony Sells, Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present as were members of the public.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Knight called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Bruce Altznauer made motion to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2016 public hearing. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2016 regular meeting. Tony Sells seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tim Smith made motion to approve the minutes of the June 30, 2016 public hearing. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
HEARING DATES FOR MILLAGE RATE
Debbie Kilgore advised the council that she had sent the five year tax history to the newspaper and had scheduled the meeting to discuss the millage rate for August 8, 2016 at 6:30 pm and to adopt the millage rate at 7:00 pm.
OLD / UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Mayor Knight advised the council that Jay Mathews with GRWA would be calling him the next day to give him the date for the pond dredging.
Bruce Altznauer asked about the flashing sign that the Sheriff’s department brought out. Mr. Pace was present and said the sign worked slowing the speeders down while it was there.
Tony Sells asked if we had the list of pot holes made up yet. Mayor Knight stated he did not have the list yet but would get it the next day.
Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn the regular meeting at 7:10 pm. Tony Sells seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Tony Sells made motion to enter executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brenda Thompson made motion to exit executive session. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
