CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Spencer Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present as were members of the public. Council member Chad Cook was absent.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Knight called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENTATION OF PLAQUE
Recipient not present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the minutes of the November 17, 2015 meeting as submitted. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER
Mayor Knight advised the council that the city only received one application for the Rutledge seat on the Morgan County Planning Commission. He said that Maryann Dartnell submitted the application. He stated that she lives inside the Rutledge city limits at 303 Fairplay Street. She is a science teacher at the Morgan County High School. Tim Smith made motion to accept the application and appoint Maryann Dartnell to the Morgan County Planning Commission. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
APPROVAL OF ALCOHOL LICENSE
Mayor Knight informed the council that Rutledge Liquor, Georgia Grill and Café”, Rutledge Crossing and Rutledge Wings have all turned in their alcohol renewal applications. Tim Smith made motion to approve the alcohol licenses contingent on all paperwork being turned in. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
BUSINESS LICENSE APPROVAL
Mayor Knight said June Medford submitted a business license application for Markets on Main located at 119 E. Main Street. Antiques, booths and home décor are the nature of the business. He stated it is allowed. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the business license for Markets on Main. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Tim Smith made motion to adjourn at 7:05. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
