CALL TO ORDER
Mayor James Bratcher called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Chad Cook, Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present as were members of the public.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chad Cook made motion to approve the minutes of the April 20, 2015 meeting as submitted. Tim seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Debbie Kilgore advised the council that the work on West Main was still on the schedule that we are waiting on Eric Smith to finish a job that he is currently doing.
APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION TO MOVE POLLING PLACE
Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the Resolution to move the polling location temporarily. Chad Cook seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
ORDINANCE VIOLATION WEST MAIN STREET
Chad Cook made motion to table the ordinance violation until the June 15, 2015 meeting. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
DOWNTOWN BUILDING USES
Debbie Kilgore advised the council that one of the downtown building owners wanted to know if they could rent the space as a residence. She stated that she contacted Chuck Jarrell and he said that there is nothing in the ordinance that addresses the issue. Chuck Jarrell stated that the council just needs to be aware of it. Bruce Altznauer said he did not like it but if the ordinance doesn’t address then nothing can be done about it.
COUNTRY FAIR UPDATE
Debbie Kilgore advised the council that as far as she knew everything for the fair was on schedule.
Mayor James Bratcher announced to the council and public that he would be resigning his position effective immediately. He thanked the council and the citizens for all their support through the years.
Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn at 7:24. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
