CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge city council on the above date. Council members Tom Strott, Brenda Thompson, James Bratcher and Bill Spann were present as were members of the public.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Tom Strott made motion that the minutes of the November 21, 2011 meeting be approved as submitted. James Bratcher seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Brenda Thompson made motion that the minutes of the December 08, 2011 special called meeting minutes be approved as submitted. Tom Strott seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
APPROVAL OF ALCOHOL LICENSE
Mayor Knight advised the council that Rutledge Grocery and Rutledge Liquor had submitted their paper work and payment for the alcohol license. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the alcohol license for Rutledge Supermarket. James Bratcher seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tom Strott made motion that the alcohol license be approved for the Rutledge Liquor Store. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
PRESENTATION OF PLAQUE
Mayor Knight presented council member Tom Strott with a plaque thanking him for serving 10 years on the Rutledge City Council. Tom Strott stated that he felt like it had been a good council and administration. Everyone thanked council member Strott for his service.
SWEARING IN OF NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS
Chad Cook and Brenda Thompson took the council member oath and were sworn in by Mayor Knight.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Brenda Thompson made motion to exit regular session for the purpose of entering executive session to discuss litigation. Tom Strott seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tom Strott made motion to exit executive session. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Tom Strott made motion to adjourn the meeting. Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
