CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Spencer Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge city council on the above date. Council members Bill Spann and Brenda Thompson were present. Council members Tom Strott and James Bratcher were absent. There were no citizens present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Brenda Thompson made motion that the minutes of the May 16, 2011 meeting be approved as submitted. Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried with a constitutional majority.
APPROVAL OF AUDIT CONTRACT
Mayor Knight advised the council that the audit contract provided by Robert McAlister, CPA, PC was only $200.00 more than last year and the term would be for the next three years 2011-2013 in the amount of $10,500.00. Bill Spann made motion to approve the audit contract submitted by Robert McAlister, in the amount of $10,500.00. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried with a constitutional majority.
ACCEPTANCE OF DEED FOR ALLEY
Mayor Knight stated that the attorney for the city had advised the council to accept the deed for the alley behind Yesterday’s Café according to the ruling from the court for the 12 foot wide portion. Brenda Thompson made motion to accept the deed. Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried with a constitutional majority.

Mayor Knight informed the council that we are still waiting on pricing. No action taken.
Mayor Knight advised that the regular meeting would adjourn at this time to call to order a public hearing for budget discussion and public input. Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried with a constitutional majority.
