CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Knight called to order the public hearing of the Rutledge city council on the above date.  Council members Brenda Thompson, Bill Spann and Tom Strott were present as were members of the public.  James Bratcher was absent.

BUDGET DISCUSSION

Debbie Rutherford went over the changes she had made on the budgets since the last work session.  She advised that she had budgeted money for the election and in the event that the city does not have to hold one a budget amendment could be done. 

PUBLIC COMMENT

Patrick Yost was present and asked about the $15,600.00 for fire hydrant maintenance and repair.  Debbie Rutherford advised that it was like a franchise fee.  Mayor Knight stated that the next public hearing would be September 3^rd at 6:30 to adopt the budget.

BUSINESS LICENSE APPROVAL

Mayor Knight stated Zachery Myers had applied for a business license for Zach’s Roofing. He said this would only be a home office.  Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the business license for Zach’s Roofing.  Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
