CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Altznauer called to order the budget hearing on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Tony Sells and Brandie Owens were present. Council member Adam Beckstine was absent. Emily Whitten with the Morgan County Citizen was also present. There were no citizens present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Altznauer called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
DISCUSSION OF BUDGET
City Clerk Debbie Kilgore went over the General Fund budget. Council member Tony Sells asked about property taxes. She said she used the roll back rate when figuring the taxes. She advised council the license and permits line item was lower because the liquor store changed hands and made it higher than it would normally be. She said she added an additional 5% to salaries. She asked for guidance where to put the remaining $63,639.05 less $1,500.00 for TextMyGov. They all agreed to increasing the recreation and parks line item due to the potential donation of land for a park. She advised there were hardly any changes to Water/Sewer since the last meeting. Ms. Kilgore went over SPLOST and TSPLOST with most being infrastructure and roads.

Mayor Altznauer called for citizen input. There were no citizens present.
RESOLUTION TO ADOPT FY 2024 – 2025 BUDGET
Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the Resolution to adopt the FY 2024 – 2025 budget with the changes requested. Tony Sells seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Debbie Kilgore said she would make the change to recreation and add TextMyGov and send the revised budget to them.
Tony Sells made motion to adjourn at 5:50 PM. Brandie Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
