CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Altznauer called to order the public hearing on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Adam Beckstine, Tony Sells and Brandie Owens were present. Emily Whitten with the Morgan County Citizen was also present. There were no citizens present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Altznauer called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
BUDGET DISCUSSION
City Clerk Debbie Kilgore informed the Council that she would go over the Water Sewer budget first because the General fund was not yet complete. Ms. Kilgore went over the budget and answered questions. She advised the council that she had added five percent to salaries.
PUBLIC INPUT
Mayor Altznauer called for public input. There were no citizens present.
Mayor Altznauer closed the public hearing and called the regular meeting to order.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2024, meeting as submitted. Brandie Owens seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
DISCUSSION OF EASEMENT CONDITIONS
Mayor Altznauer advised the council he had met with Mr. Reid Griffin regarding an easement between City Hall and the Post Office and it is contingent of two pages of conditions he submitted. He said his grandmother donated the land for the downtown park and the playground equipment. It is contingent on the playground equipment being kept and a plaque put in the park downtown. The Council went over the easement conditions and instructed the city clerk to send them to John Nix, City Attorney.
PLAYGROUND EQUPMENT UPDATE
Mayor Altznauer stated the playground equipment would stay for now per the easement.
Brandie Owens made motion to adjourn at 6:41 PM. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
