CITY OF RUTLEDGE REGULAR MEETING – MARCH 21, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Altznauer called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Tony Sells, Brenda Thompson and Adam Beckstine were present. Council member Brandie Owens was absent. There was one citizen present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Altznauer called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Adam Beckstine made motion to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2023, meeting as submitted. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
MORGAN COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN – AMANDA PROCTOR
EMA / 911 Director Amanda Proctor advised the council the plan has must be updated every five years which is a requirement by FEMA. She stated that a grace period was given in 2020 because of COVID. The Mitigation Plan identifies hazards. I will be going to all the cities to get the plan adopted. In case of a natural disaster, you will be approved for funds. Adam Beckstine asked is this a blanket policy for Morgan County? She stated there are specifics for each City.
APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION
Tony Sells made motion to approve the Resolution – City of Rutledge, Georgia Morgan County 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
DISCUSSION / APPROVAL OF LOCKEDHEART TECHNOLOGIES, LLC FOR CYBER SECURITY AND COMPUTER MAINTENAANCE AGREEMENT
Mayor Altznauer advised the Council that the City has never had an IT support plan. The City has got to where we need his consultation and more cyber protection. I have confidence in Christian Cantrell. He sold, installed and supports our camera’s. The plan he recommends is not the base or the complete, it is the Email plan and is $620.00 per month. Tony Sells made motion to approve the plan based on whether we need the complete or the email. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn at 6:23 pm. Adam Beckstine seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
