CALL TO ORDER
Mayor James Bratcher called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present as were members of the public. Council member Chad Cook was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Council member Bruce Altznauer made motion that the minutes of the August 18, 2014 meeting be approved as submitted. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
UNFINISHED – TABLED ITEMS
Brenda Thompson stated that it is the council’s job to uphold the ordinances and the laws of the city. Brenda Thompson made motion to instruct code enforcement to write a citation to remove the goats at 165 East Main Street. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
SANDRA MOSS – ANIMAL ORDINANCE

APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE PARTICIPATION BY THE CITY IN THE GMEBS LIFE AND HEALTH PROGRAM
Tim Smith made motion to approve the ordinance to provide participation by the City in the GMEBS Life and Health Program. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
BUSINESS LICENSE APPROVAL
Mayor Bratcher advised the council that a business license application had been received from William Behrndt for Behrndt Dental Services, PC dba Rutledge Family Dental located at 126 Fairplay. He stated that it is allowed. Brenda Thompson made motion to approve the business license for Behrndt Dental Services. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Mayor Bratcher stated a business license application was received from Yolanda Jones for Jones Tax Services located at 148 Atlanta Hwy. He advised that it is allowed. Bruce Altznauer made motion to approve the business license for Jones Tax Services. Brenda Thompson seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
Commissioner Andy Ainsley was present and advised the council that Morgan County had scheduled a work session in Rutledge at city hall on October 21, 2014 at 5:00 pm.
Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn at 7:06 pm. Tim Smith seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
