CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Brenda Thompson, Bill Spann and Chad Cook were present as were members of the public. Council member James Bratcher was absent.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chad Cook made motion to approve the minutes of the November 19, 2012 meeting as submitted. Bill Spann seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
CITY TRUCK EXPENDITURE
Mayor Knight advised the council that Chad Whitley and Ernest Clark had been looking for a new truck for the city and found one. The truck belongs to Keith Rex and the asking price is $3800.00. Rutledge resident Keith Rex was present and gave the council the history of the truck and all the maintenance that had been done on it. Brenda Thompson made motion to spend the $3800.00 for the purchase of the 1998 Ford Ranger pick up. Chad Cook seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
JANUARY MEETING DATE
Mayor Knight advised the council that the next council meeting would fall on a holiday and needed to be rescheduled to Tuesday January 22, 2013. City clerk Debbie Kilgore stated that a public notice about the date change would be put in the paper.
ALCOHOL LICENSE APPROVALS
None present.
PERSONNELL POLICY REVIEW AND ADDITIONS
City clerk Debbie Kilgore handed out new policies for the council to look over that were recommended by GIRMA. She said for them to look over them and suggest any changes before they are sent to the attorney. She said they would go over them at the next meeting.
REMINDER OF ELECTED OFFICIALS REPORTS DUE
Mayor Knight reminded everyone that their campaign reports were due to the state no later than January 8th.
FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING
Mayor Knight informed the council and the news reporter that the city would be flushing hydrants January 2nd 3rd and 4th and may experience cloudy water and low pressure during this time. He also stated an ad would run in the paper to remind them.
Brenda Thompson made motion to adjourn. Chad Cook seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
