CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Spencer Knight called to order the regular meeting of the Rutledge City Council on the above date. Council members Tim Smith and Bruce Altznauer were present. Council members Brenda Thompson and Anthony Sells were absent. There were no members of the public present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE
Mayor Knight called for and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Tim Smith made motion to approve the minutes of the July 19, 2016 meeting. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tim Smith made motion to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2016 public hearing held at 6:30. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tim Smith made motion to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2016 public hearing held at 7:00. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
APPROVAL OF BUSINESS / ALCOHOL LICENSE
Mayor Knight advised the council that an application for an alcohol license and business license had been submitted by Javier Rodriguez for the Georgia Grill & Café. He stated that it was no longer owned by the Stewarts. Tim Smith made motion to approve the business license. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried. Tim Smith made motion to approve the alcohol license contingent on receiving payment and all paperwork required by the city ordinance. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
OLD / UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Mayor Knight advised the council that the work was getting started at the sewer treatment pond. Everything has been cleaned up around the pond and they had met with Dewey Richardson about bringing the crane through on his property. He also advised that the grading for the new well on Fears road was getting started. He said they will grade and lay the pipe from the waterline all the way back to where the well house will be built.
Tim Smith made motion to adjourn at 7:15 PM. Bruce Altznauer seconded, all voted in favor and motion carried.
